Most of us, compare ourselves with people of social media, whoever that may be, Kylie Jenner, Beyonce, or a certain You Tuber. We say to ourselves, why don't I look like that? or I wish I had this or that like her ? and so on. But, not noticing that we are actually hurting ourselves in the end, that by the time when we look at ourselves in the mirror we see nothing pretty or beautiful about ourselves because we spent hours bragging about how they look, that we are only seeing one beauty standard and not the rest. We are bringing ourselves down by comparing ourselves to other people who they themselves done major alterings to their bodies because they were also caught up to a certain beauty standard in social media. But, I will tell you that you are beautiful from inside and out because what you think is a flaw, its actually really beautiful. Its makes you you and unique.
It took me a long time to accept myself, I learned to love myself because I was going to be in this body til the day I died, so why not appreciate with what I have and work with what I have. When I was a little girl I thought I had a curse because I thought I only had the worst hair ever because my hair was so dry, brittle, and puffy and everyone else that I knew had straight, silky hair. Little did I know that I had wavy/curly hair at that time, I just needed to know how to manage it and work with it. And so on, little by little I learned to work with what I have and learned to love all my flaws because it makes me unique and beautiful. You don't have to look like a certain person for you to look and feel beautiful because they themselves might not feel the same for themselves. Be content with what you have. You are enough and you are beautiful.
Also, Beauty fades it wont last long, it wont make people like you, and it wont make a person be with you because of your beauty. Another factor that can play a role with your looks, is your personality. Your personality will last long, it will actually make people like you, and will make a person stay with you because that is what really matters and even as you get older the only important thing that will make you beautiful is the person that you truly are.
